How it works

The background

SEO, AEO and GEO

SEO is about ranking in search results. AEO (answer engine optimisation) is about being the direct answer to a question, in snippets and AI overviews. GEO (generative engine optimisation) is about being named and recommended inside AI assistants' answers.

Check what the assistant says

AI assistants can state wrong facts with confidence. Treat their output as a draft: check every fact, price and claim before you publish it.

One answer is not a measurement

Asking an assistant once whether it recommends you shows one possible answer. To know how often you are recommended, ask the same question many times, across assistants, and report the rate with its margin of error.

Want these numbers for your brand, every day?

Notable asks AI assistants your customers' questions daily and shows how often you are recommended, with the margin of error beside every number.
